• Fewest people are online from 3-5am.
• The most people are online from 7-8pm.
• Saturday is the busiest day on the internet followed closely by Sunday.
• Internet usage during the Superbowl was lower than a typical Sunday afternoon.
• Internet usage on Valentine’s Day was higher than a typical Tuesday.
• MVT can handle double the capacity than what is currently used today in the highest traffic times. It’s like we have a four-lane highway with only two lanes being used.
• People download content 10 times more than what they upload.
• 93% of data sent by MVT customers goes to locations in the U.S. The next two countries are Hong Kong at 2% and Japan at 1%.
• Half of downloaded internet data comes from three sources: Akamai, Amazon, and Netflix. You probably have never heard of Akamai, but they are a Content Delivery Network or CDN. They host gaming sites, websites, video streaming sites, etc.
