Building a Faster, Stronger, and Smarter Network for Our Community
At MVT, our mission has always been to deliver the speed, reliability, security, and quality service our customers deserve. Over the past several years, and especially throughout 2025, we've made major investments to ensure our network not only keeps up with demand but stays far ahead of it. Here's a look at what we've been up to in 2025.
A Network Built for Growth
This year, we increased our total internet capacity by 82%, giving customers more bandwidth and improving overall performance, even during the busiest hours of the day. Historically, our network has relied on both a north and south path to the internet. With our latest capacity expansion, we can now withstand the loss of either route without any noticeable drop in performance—a major boost to network resiliency.
Speeds That Keep Climbing
Customer speeds have dramatically improved as well.
In 2020, the most popular internet package was 15 Mbps. Today, it's 250 Mbps. The number of devices in homes, how the internet is used, and the frequency in which people are connected has increased over the past five years. MVT has continued to achieve technology and network upgrades to ensure customers have the speed and reliability they need.
Expanding Fiber Connectivity
Fiber remains the gold standard for internet performance, and expanding our fiber footprint has been one of our top priorities.
In 2025 alone, we installed 9.5 miles of new fiber.
Over the past five years, that total reaches 116 miles.
As a result, 97% of our customers now live in areas where fiber service is available, a dramatic improvement from 52% in 2020. And today, 87% of our customers are connected via fiber, enjoying faster speeds and greater reliability than ever before.
Enhanced Security and Smarter Home Management
In 2025, we added enhanced security protection to every router provided by MVT—at no additional cost. This upgrade safeguards customers from online threats before they reach their devices.
We also introduced new parental controls across all MVT routers. These tools empower families to manage screen time, filter content, and even prioritize important devices—such as a parent's work laptop—over recreational ones like gaming consoles.
Looking Ahead
Every investment we make is guided by a simple goal: to deliver a safer, faster, and more reliable online experience for every customer. From dramatic increases in capacity and speed to expanded fiber access and smarter in-home tools, 2025 has been a year of meaningful progress—and we're just getting started.
We look forward to continuing to improve the network that keeps our community connected.
